Profile : The Owners Pam And Dave
We moved to Kalamata 7 ½ years ago looking to find our dream. We looked at many plots of land on which to build our house and start a new life, we were just about to give up for that year when we were shown a plot of land in a traditional Mani village, peaceful and secluded but only a stroll into the village and a stroll home after a pint.
From the moment we saw this plot we both knew that this was the one for us and every time we returned to the plot the light would bounced off the magnificent mountain range, which would change their appearance at different times of the day.
We built our bungalow and put a wood burning stove in the lounge for the central heating, which is very cosey especial at Christmas time. The gardens are easily maintained, we have olive trees, fruit trees and a vegetable garden.
You can walk to the village with its four Taverns, which are all good, and the village shop. The village has a lot of local history and many churches. The people of the village are friendly and if you have any problems there is always someone who will help.
We have had a great life here and will be sorry to leave, as we will miss everything, but if is now time for us to move on a new adventure and to see more of our families and grandchildren. This little piece of heaven will always be in our hearts and thoughts.
