This traditional detached stone house is 142 m². and stands on an elevated plot of 2,260 m². just above the popular coastal resort of Stoupa. And it is only 400 metres from the sea. The plot has a private dead end road which is shared with just a few other houses. The house is on two floors with a ground floor workshop/studio area.
The first floor is 70 m². and consists of a spacious lounge with log burning fireplace and marble surround. The first floor area is tiled with wooden doors, windows and shutters. Leading from the lounge there is another room which at present is used as a dining room but it could also be a bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is a kitchen with fitted units, work surfaces, storage space and a pantry area. Stairs lead up to the mezzanine floor where there is a spacious study area and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom all with wooden floors. A veranda leads all the way around the first floor which provides sun as well as shady areas. And from here there are panoramic views of the Messinian coastline the sea and the mountains.
On the ground floor there is 34m² workshop/ which also has planning permission to be converted into a livable studio space if required. It already has water and electricity connected. The present owner uses it as his art studio. It is unusual these days to have a house built on such a large plot. The grounds surrounding the house have a 50 different variety of Mediterranean plants and more than 100 trees which include 20 Olive trees, Oak. Mulberry, Carob, Eucalyptus and Pine as well as flowering shrubs including Jasmine, Oleanders, Laurel and Rosemary. There is a covered car port with space for 2 cars, outside seating and terraced areas for alfresco dining The house also has the added benefit of its own water supply and no building activity is possible nearby as it is forest land. This lovely house would suit someone who would like a secluded house with spacious grounds and wonderful views and yet be within easy strolling distance to the sandy beaches and amenities of Stoupa.
