Entering the property via a wooden gate into the courtyard where stone stairs lead up to the terrace area with views over the village.

On the upper floor there is a lounge with a wood burning fire, study area, kitchen and toilet. The present owner had planned to demolish the old kitchen and has a building permit to build a new one.  The new internal wooden stairs take you to the lower level where there is a double bedroom which the present owner is using for storage, another single bedroom and a fully tiled bathroom with toilet, bath and shower.

The house has been extensively re-wired. There is telephone and internet (ISDN). There is a parking area along side the house, the village has all  amenities,  such as tavernas , Kafenion’s and a  mini- market . The village is only 35 minute drive to Kalamata and 7 km to the coast.

There is an extra 30 m2 approx. outside the yard (see architect’s plans) which includes a fig tree and the body of the bread oven. The house has been recently rewired (in stages since 2008) and a new distribution box fitted (by the veranda door).  There are plenty of sockets and two phone wall sockets for internet and telephone connections upstairs and in the downstairs study.  There are two exterior sockets, one on the veranda and one in the shed, and an exterior light switch for the yard. There is also a two-way, exterior light, one switch is by the gate and the other is just inside the door to the veranda.

There are two soakaways: one outside the kitchen and the other by the eastern side of the property.  Drains to the latter are 110 mm diameter and take paper. The outside of the downstairs bathroom walls have recently (2014) been re-pointed. The roof is sound and does not leak. Hot water is from an electric water heater in the kitchen. This has its own circuit and is marked as such in the distribution box.

There is wiring for an electric cooker; it is behind the cupboard to the left as you enter the kitchen. It has its own circuit and this is clearly marked in the distribution box. There is an outside tap by the front gate. There is a large shed in the yard which includes the mouth of the bread oven.

The house has a new interior staircase, downstairs study and window, downstairs hall floor and downstairs bathroom. The current owner has been here since March 2007.  The house was built in about 1955, apparently, from the stones of Zanata castle, which you can see on top of the hill to the east of the property (open to the public).
