Beautifully restored greek property in a village which is conveniently located between the municipal centre of Kalamata and the amazing historical Mani coastal town of Kardamyli . As you drive through the lovely village of Doli and park up by this property, you are surrounded by the bright flashes of bourgainvillea and the scents of jasmine and flowers which adorn the village streets, it makes for a very nice welcome.

Started in 2004, this property has been a labour of love for the Owner who's background is in the civil trade, many of the traditional features seen in the village houses have been retained but also improved upon. Open timber roof structures in both the upper and lower levels, properly treated wood which has brought out the beautiful grain of these structures as well as protecting them for years ahead. Wooden floors, lovingly restored and sound insulated to give the cottage a warm, peaceful feel.

As you lay down in the evening in the large double bedroom, you look up at the original large wooden beams that support the upper floors. Windows have been added, and originals restored to ensure lots of light enters the living spaces and connect you to the outside areas. Two outside areas, consisting a large upper balcony and lower private courtyard provide a lot of opportunities to eat, drink and entertain outside whilst enjoying the views and the climate offered in this unique village environment.

Views from the upper balcony area cover the Taygetos Mountains to the east and sea to the south, taking in Koroni across the bay down to Kalamata at the head of the bay. Perfectly located for sitting and admiring the Mani sunsets, and the rising sun in the morning as it comes over the mountains to the east. Although well into the village itself, the cottage has a very private, secluded feel with neither of the outside areas being overlooked by neighbouring properties.

Passing through the front door on the upper level you enter an open plan kitchen and dining area, a very well thought out space with plenty of shelving, storage and dining area. The kitchen does have an open wood fireplace which could be easily recommissioned if wanted. For convenience the present owner is just using air conditioning units to heat and cool the property but a free standing wood fire is available, which could also be recommissioned for winter warmth if wanted.

On the lower level is a large double bedroom, with plenty of storage and a plenty of light from the two windows. A wide central hallway leads to a bathroom (with bath), the hallway being big enough to accommodate a single guest bed. From the lower floor it is also possible to access the outside courtyard, which is a lovely cool place for that morning coffee.

Hot water is provided from a solar Heating system with electrical back up, Water Storage tanks and pump system secure the water supply in the dry summer season.
